Overview
Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking 3 FTE experienced and enthusiastic Unaccredited Trainees to join our Orthopaedic Department in ****.

An abundance of theatre time with direct access to the Orthopaedic Consultants
Combination of elective and emergency lists – you are in amongst it all
Supported by 2 FTE Orthopaedic Consultants, additional 2 FTE Unaccredited Trainee, and 1 FTE RMO
1:4 Trauma weekends
1:2 referrals – no operations
Responsibilities
Provide effective clinical management of orthopaedic patients under appropriate supervision.
Develop expertise in medical practice within a complex clinical environment.
Work closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and handle urgent or sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.
Exercise decision-making and supervision at the appropriate level according to skill, knowledge, and experience.
Adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer.
Ensure all decisions regarding patient care are clearly communicated with the responsible specialist.
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
Drivers licence to provide service between hospitals and out of hours.
Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience at the commencement of post, with minimum 1 year experience in Orthopaedics in the Australian Health Care System or equivalent.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrated by diligence, punctuality, organisational/record-keeping, empathy, teamwork, time management and a professional manner.
Demonstrated commitment to the Orthopaedic Training Program with evidence of continuing professional development and self-education, and teaching undergraduate and postgraduates.
