We are partnered with a well-known mining company for the recruitment of a new Health and Hygiene Advisor.

The key points:
* Initial 6 months with extensions
* 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth to Karratha
* Paid 12 hours per day
Your role:
* Carry out duties of respiratory and hearing protection fit testing.
* Carry out health monitoring including but not limited to audiometric testing, spirometry, and health questionnaires working within the scope outlined by the Health and Injury Leadership.
* Work with department leadership to gather information to assist in any investigations.
* Secondary
* Assist the hygiene department with atmospheric and noise sampling, ventilation plans, equipment management
* Assist Hygiene with onsite initiatives with site engagement and delivering presentations
* Assist Health and Injury Team with Health Initiatives in line with the Health Management Plan and Annual Health & Safety plan as directed by the Manager - Health and Injury, Principle Hygienist and General Manager, Health & Safety.
* Infield control verifications of health and or hygiene commitments
* Track and report data trends including compliance.
* Keep up to date with legislative requirements.
* Utilise site software programs
In terms of your background, you will have:
* Degree qualified or working towards completion of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene or Health discipline.
* Technical and practical skills in Occupational Health or Hygiene.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
* AIOH membership, AHPRA Registration, or similar will be looked favourably upon
* Knowledge of WA mining health and safety legislation
* Ability to pass full medical including muscular fit and fitness assessment and pass Drug and Alcohol screening
* Must be clean shaven for fit test
* Must hold a current C Class Manual License
