At Healthy Mind Australia, we are a compassionate mental health and disability service provider dedicated to navigating and nurturing life's challenges together. With offices in Gawler and Salisbury, we are on a mission to provide support to connect individuals and families facing the complexities of mental health. We are expanding to Port Lincoln and seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our team on a full-time basis. If you thrive in mental health and bring NDIS knowledge, we want you.
Responsibilities
* Develop Interim and Comprehensive plans along with functional assessments through data analysis for evidence-based practice.
* Identify strategies for participants to enhance quality of life.
* Lodge restrictive practices.
* Work with NDIS plan and PBS budgets.
* Collaborate with and support families and providers.
* Reduce and eliminate restrictive practices.
* Deliver a client-centered approach and strategies.
* Provide hands-on client support to facilitate understanding and address behaviours of concern effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
* Experience developing behaviour support plans and conducting functional behaviour assessments (FBA).
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioural difficulties.
* Experience working with NDIS performs and knowledge is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
* Current driver's license and willingness to travel to different locations.
* Current suitability confirmed by NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at the core or above levels.
* Valid Australian work visa or citizenship is required for this position.
