About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to grow our presence within the Queensland State Government. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities by leveraging panel contracts, vendor partnerships, industry insights, and bespoke ICT solutions.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in public sector sales and be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across some of Queensland's largest government agencies. By aligning customer needs with our extensive product and service catalogue, you'll build compelling solutions that deliver long-term value and drive measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for a defined group of State Government agencies.
* Drive new business acquisition and increase market share within the public sector.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior government executives and decision-makers.
* Lead conversations around core Telco services, Cyber Security, Modern Workplace, and Customer Experience.
* Build bespoke ICT solutions by integrating offerings across our product and services portfolio.
* Leverage panel agreements and vendor partnerships to create competitive, customer-centric solutions.
* Collaborate with internal Pre-Sales, Sales Specialists, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment and execution.
* Contribute to the team's overall acquisition targets and growth strategy.
* Track and report on sales pipeline, opportunities, and customer engagement activities.
About You
You're a commercially-minded professional with a strong understanding of the public sector landscape and ICT solutions. You're confident working with senior stakeholders and enjoy uncovering complex challenges to deliver meaningful, future-focused outcomes.
Requirements
* Proven ability to build trusted relationships within the State Government or broader public sector.
* Experience developing and delivering customer-centric ICT solutions across complex environments.
* Knowledge of key solution areas such as Mobility, Modern Workplace, Customer Experience, and Cyber Security.
* Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and panel frameworks.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
* A focus on outcomes, growth, and long-term strategic partnership.
* Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing complexity, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
