Work as a Milling and Feeding Operations Assistant to help with day-to-day tasks. Your responsibilities will include inspecting machinery before use, reporting any mechanical issues, operating loaders for cleaning and loading tasks, and feeding animals according to schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-start inspections of all equipment prior to operation
* Report any mechanical faults to the supervisor
* Operate loaders to clean pens, load trucks and perform other feedlot tasks
* Operate feed trucks to roll out feeding schedules
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment to prevent injuries and lost time
* Perform additional tasks as directed by the Mill Foreperson/Supervisor and/or Feedlot Manager
Requirements:
* Experience with operating various types of equipment such as trucks, front end loaders, bobcats, and tractors is advantageous
* An HR Licence and machinery tickets are beneficial but not essential
* The ability to work in tight spaces and operate heavy machinery safely is required
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Good work ethic and ability to take instructions
