About The Opportunity
As our Enterprise & Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in defining the digital direction for a major government‐focused environment. You'll guide architectural strategy, influence investment decisions, and lead solution design for some of the most significant transformation programs in the sector.This role is perfect for someone who's equally comfortable shaping big‐picture architecture and diving into detailed solution design — a hybrid thinker who thrives across strategy, planning, and delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
Building enterprise architecture frameworks that set the direction for future‐ready technology.Creating capability models, target-state designs, technology roadmaps, and architectural blueprints.Strengthening governance and guiding leadership on scalable, high-confidence technology decisions.Leading solution architecture across major digital initiatives — from ideation to design artefacts, assessing options, and ensuring alignment with security and architectural standards.Working hand‐in‐hand with cyber, platforms, delivery teams, and business leaders to craft sustainable, fit‐for‐purpose solutions.Identifying risks and dependencies early and helping teams navigate them with clarity.Championing best practice and uplifting architecture capability across the organisation.
What You Bring
5+ years as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or similar senior design role.Experience working in complex organisations (government experience highly regarded).Strong grasp of architectural principles, governance, and practical application in real‐world settings.Confidence designing solutions across applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security.Excellent communication skills — you can tell the story behind the architecture clearly and persuasively.Familiarity with government digital standards, policies, and whole‐of‐government environments is a definite advantageA current or re-activatable AGSVA Baseline security clearanceBe able to work in Canberra at least 3 days per week
