* Develop and enhance Natural Language Processing systems to support AI-driven products and services.
* Work with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approaches, to optimise performance.
* Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks.
* Level A or B appointment - $88,290 - $145,730 (min. 110,059 with PhD) + 17% superannuation.
* Full-time, fixed-term contracts to May 2027.

Reporting to Dr. Aditya Joshi, the Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to conduct independent and team research, developing their expertise in the field. Funding is provided by the ASIC Defence Trailblazer Grant.

Who You Are
Level A: PhD in NLP or related, with proven research outputs, experience in fine-tuning LLMs, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of RAG and cloud deployment is desirable.
Level B: All Level A skills plus two years post-PhD experience, ability to build networks, and secure funding or industry collaborations.
