With increasing demand and expanding operations, we are looking for a detail driven, proactive and experienced bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial and administrative functions.
The Role
As our bookkeeper, you will play an essential role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You'll manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a busy caravan business, including sales, service jobs, parts inventory, payroll and customer accounts.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems.
* Process accounts payable and receivable.
* Reconcile bank, credit card and supplier statements.
* Prepare BAS, payroll, and superannuation (or assist external accountant).
* Track deposits, customer balances and finance payouts.
* Issue invoices for caravan sales, servicing and parts.
* Manage stock parts and inventory entries.
* Support team with general admin and reporting.
* Assist with end of month and end of year processes.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
* Strong knowledge of computer programs and accounting systems (Eclipse accounting system would be beneficial but not necessary).
* Understanding of retail, automotive, or caravan industry bookkeeping (preferred but not required).
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills with external parties.
