As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will play an essential part in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment. Your role will involve developing and implementing workplace health and safety systems, training programs, and human resource strategies that support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Workplace Health and Safety Management: Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our WHS management system to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
* Incident Reporting and Investigation: Manage incident reporting and investigation processes, applying risk management principles to reduce workplace incidents, accidents, and workers' compensation claims.
* Organisational Risk Assessments: Identify and manage organisational risk assessments related to WHS and human resources, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
* Learning and Development Initiatives: Drive the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives across the organisation, implementing training programs that enhance employee capability and performance.
* Human Resource Systems and Processes: Lead the development and optimisation of HR systems and processes across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and cultural development.
* Compliance and Frameworks: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industrial relations frameworks, including WHS, Fair Work, and quality standards such as NDIS, Human Services Quality Framework, Mental Health Standards, and Aged Care.
* Culture Development: Develop and embed frameworks, policies, and procedures that foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture, supporting the delivery of high-quality care.
* Workforce Development Programs: Identify organisational training needs and lead a team to design and implement workforce development programs that support safe and effective service delivery.
* Data Analysis: Analyse workforce and safety data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and recommend areas for quality improvement.
* Strategic Reporting: Provide strategic reporting and insights to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
Skill Requirements:
* Proven experience in workplace health and safety management, human resources, or a related field.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to analyse complex data and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
