We see this as an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to grow into a senior finance or commercial leadership role within a hotel.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, commercial matters and business support functions. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding the owners investment, driving financial performance and supporting strategic initiatives across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Manage commercial contracts, retail tenancy relationships and vendor agreements.
- Provide strategic business support to department heads and the General Manager.
- Oversee internal controls, audits and risk management.
- Supervise finance team operations including payroll, account payable, accounts receivable.
- Liaise with Group Financial Controller, external auditors, financial institution, corporate stakeholders,
- Support IT infrastructure coordination and systems oversight.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified in Accounting.
- Membership with a recognised Australian accounting body such as CPA, CA or IPA.
- Proven experience in hotel finance or similar commercial finance roles.
- Robust leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Hands-on experience with hotel systems including but not limited to, Myob Exonet, TANDA, POS platforms, etc.
- Ability to manage contracts, negotiate terms and support business planning.
- A proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative approach.
