Assistant Production Manager
Permanent, full-time opportunity. $110,000 - $140,000 + super. Location: Balcatta, WA.
Pearl Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager for a well‐established WA manufacturing business specialising in bespoke and multi‐produced industrial and plastic mould‐based products.
With continued growth across the business, this position has been created to support day‐to‐day production operations while working closely alongside Company Directors.
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being involved across all aspects of a busy workshop environment. You will play a key role supporting a production team of approximately 20 staff, helping maintain workflow, team cohesion, and operational performance while also remaining hands‐on when required.
The company is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience levels, with attitude, resilience, and leadership style being just as important as technical capability. The successful candidate will be someone who can build strong working relationships across the workshop, lead by example, and contribute positively to the team environment. Responsibilities
* Supporting daily workshop and production operations
* Assisting with coordinating workflow, production schedules, and team performance
* Working closely with workshop staff to maintain productivity and a positive team culture
* Providing hands‐on support within the workshop when required
* Developing a strong understanding of business operations, production processes, and team leadership
* Assisting with identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies
* Supporting workshop performance across safety, quality, and productivity standards
* Building strong working relationships across all levels of the business
About You
* Previous experience within plastics manufacturing strongly preferred
* Strong communication and people management skills
* Comfortable working within a hands‐on and fast‐paced environment
* Resilient and adaptable approach with the ability to manage different personalities and working styles
* Natural leadership qualities with a collaborative attitude
* Motivated to grow within the business and take on increasing operational responsibility over time
* Trade background highly regarded but not essential
