Pharmacy Technician Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by assisting with various tasks.
* Filling Prescriptions: You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining up-to-date records.
* Prepackaging Medication: You will assist in prepackaging medication, adhering to government regulations and standards to ensure the highest quality care.
* Verifying Accuracy: You will conduct final checks on filled prescriptions, verifying accuracy and coordinating delivery to patients.
* Inventory Management: You will maintain inventory practices, receiving and rotating medications and supplies, and assisting with physical inventory.
* Work Environment: You will ensure a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
You will also be responsible for working with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system, obtaining reimbursement payment, and assisting Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices.
