Mount Isa City Council provides employment for approximately 200 employees in a variety of full time, part time, contractual and casual positions.These positions cover the full scope of Council operations from administration, financial, professional and technical roles to operational positions within the various sections.About the roleThe purpose of this position is to provide administration support to the Project Management Office and the Major Projects departments' manager and staff.
This position is required to assist the requisitioning of purchase orders, receipt invoices and process payment claims in accordance with contract requirements and with approval of the Superintendent direct Account Payable to process payment, setting up awarded Contracts in Contract Manager module, assist and collaborate with the Grant Funding Officer or Senior Project Managers/ Engineers with the administration of their projects, including preconstruction and project delivery phases of capital projects to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
The Project Support Officer also provides support to the project's internal and external customers.
