We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This unique role will oversee the overall operation of Bistro, Restaurant, and conferencing, while assisting in menu creation and managing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee kitchen team performance, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
* Assist in creating menus and cost analysis
* Manage food and labor expenses, including inventory levels and back-of-house operations
* Implement procedures to maintain exceptional service and product quality
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food standards
* Recruit, train, and roster kitchen staff, promoting a positive work environment
* Develop and refine recipes to meet diverse culinary needs and preferences
* Craft meals catering to various dietary restrictions and allergies
Requirements:
* Hold relevant Certificate III Cookery qualifications
* Extensive experience working as a Sous Chef
* Exceptional leadership skills, with experience leading and motivating a skilled team
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
