Financial Reporting Specialist
The role of the Financial Reporting Specialist will involve overseeing statutory financial reporting and monitoring new accounting standards. The position requires a strong technical understanding of capitalised development projects, goodwill impairment, and lease accounting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers to document accounting conclusions and presentation to the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the business, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with M&A accounting papers and accounting entries for post-integration.
Requirements:
- Technical Accounting or Financial Reporting experience, CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
- Extensive audit experience (e.g. Big 4 audit).
- Experience with ASX listed businesses or equivalent with an interest in the SaaS, technology, and hospitality industry.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and first-class interpersonal skills allowing you to develop strong professional relationships across the organisation.
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to step into a demanding position.
