Mobile Applications Support and Maintenance

* This is a 12-month contract starting on March 6, 2023.
* The location for this position includes Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart, Victoria, and remote work with regular virtual meetings.
Parks Australia has developed six mobile applications to showcase its national parks and botanic gardens. These apps provide information to visitors, including tours, activities, cultural heritage, environment, and maps.
The Director of National Parks is seeking an external provider to maintain, secure, and monitor the mobile apps for a 12-month period. Timely technical support is required to resolve any issues encountered by the client within one business day for critical issues and one week for non-urgent issues.
A key requirement is ensuring the apps function consistently and correctly on the latest iOS and Android operating systems. This is necessary for maintaining their publication on the respective app stores.
The provider must inform the client of any changes to technology or policies that may affect publishing updates to the apps, investigate the impact on the client's business, and make any necessary changes to ensure app accessibility.
To apply, candidates must address the selection criteria as part of their submission:
1. Demonstrated skills in building, publishing, and maintaining Android and iOS mobile applications.
2. Demonstrated experience working to Australian government application development standards.
3. Demonstrated experience in building and/or managing mobile applications using Expo.
4. Demonstrated experience with third-party online services used by the apps, including GitHub and GitHub Actions, Google Firebase, MapTiler, Google Maps API, and monitoring restricted API endpoints.
