Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Hillsdale, Sydney
Overview of Role: The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting materials and finished goods, monitoring multiple areas of the production line, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using PDCA methodology. Supports the handling of customer complaints and plays a vital part in validating the integrity of the products before delivery to customers

What you will do:
· Conducts inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
· Audit manufacturing processes and machines to ensure they follow established parameters.
· Perform specialized quality tests to ensure product durability and function.
· Inspect completed and in-progress work orders.
· Record inspection results in the quality system.
· Notify supervisors of any issues that could impact business quality or compliance.
· Submit QC reports and samples requested by clients and/or sales.
· Identify technical solutions to quality-related issues through PDCA with Production team members.
· Review test reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Assist in managing consumer complaints and provide support for resolution.
· Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across the organization
What we need from you:
· High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 1 years in a quality role.
· Familiarity with quality tools and techniques (control charts, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis).
· Basic understanding of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.
· Ability to carry out cross-functional inspections.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communicator and decision-making abilities
· Team player with a proactive attitude.
· Computer proficiency.
