Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, ensuring operations are compliant with legislation and conducted within best practice standards.
This role is key in supporting legal compliance, managing organisational risk, and contributing to effective governance.What you'll be doingIn this role, you will work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure sound legal practices, mitigate risks and maintain compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include:Advising on, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contractsProviding practical, solutions-focused legal and governance advice to business leaders and stakeholdersIdentifying legal and governance risks and recommending appropriate mitigationsManaging relationships with external legal service providers to ensure efficient delivery of adviceDeveloping, reviewing and implementing policies, procedures and other legal documentationDelivering training programs and communications on relevant legal issuesMonitoring and responding to new and emerging legislation and regulatory developmentsSupporting governance and reporting requirements including statutory registers and regulatory lodgementsProviding expertise in privacy, confidentiality and data management mattersWhat we're looking forWe are seeking a qualified and experienced legal professional with strong technical expertise.
