Job Description
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
* Optimise existing data architectures to improve performance and reliability.
* Implement robust data governance practices to ensure data quality and security.
* Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems.
* Document processes, workflows, and system configurations for future reference.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Data Engineer (Contract) Should Have
* Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
* A solid understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
* Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
* Experience working in cloud-based data environments.
* An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* A background in the business services industry is advantageous but not essential.
