Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Project Manager - Proposals to join our team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia.
Applicants must be either a US citizen with a TS/SCI clearance or an Australian citizen eligible to obtain the appropriate security clearance.
THE ROLE
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Project Manager - Proposals is a key member of the Project Development Office within Amentum's Engineering, Projects, Integration & Construction (EPIC) team. Based in Alice Springs, this role involves delivering proposal development services to support construction, operation, maintenance, and management of facility assets, infrastructure, and systems within Amentum's programs and pursuits in Australia. This position plays an integral role in managing infrastructure configuration, construction, and project management in a diverse and complex environment.
The Project Manager – Proposals will work with the Project Development and EPIC teams to develop clear, robust proposal solutions and execution packages that align with corporate goals, customer expectations, and policies. The role requires stakeholder engagement at all levels and managing the proposal process under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end proposal development and submission process, including interpreting RFPs, coordinating RFIs, developing solutions, SOWs, bid analysis, and strategic planning.
2. Analyze tender/RFP requirements and develop proposal strategies.
3. Lead and review proposal elements for quality and completeness.
4. Develop detailed project execution packages for awarded proposals.
5. Support and manage project execution as assigned.
6. Maintain proposal documentation according to document control processes.
7. Promote health and safety practices on-site and within the workplace.
8. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, or Project Management.
Preferred Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields.
Experience and Skills
Minimum Requirements
* Knowledge of proposal and project management processes.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe suites.
* Document management experience.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in proposal/bid development.
* Proposal planning and Microsoft Project.
* Schedule development and management.
* Construction project management and estimation.
* SharePoint and MS Project experience.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Typical office environment; occasional lifting up to 10kg; kneeling, standing, walking; sitting; constant communication; mental alertness; ability to meet deadlines.
Statement of Work Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
* Australian or US citizen.
