The Role
As the Finishes Foreman, you will report directly to the Site Manager and be responsible for overseeing the performance of all finishing trades. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and supervising all finishing trades across apartments and common areas
* Driving programme through the final stages to practical completion and handover
* Ensuring high-quality finishes in line with drawings, specifications, and client expectations
* Managing defects, inspections, and close-out processes
* Overseeing QA systems, checklists, and compliance standards
* Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and consultants to resolve issues efficiently
* Monitoring subcontractor performance, sequencing, and productivity
* Conducting pre-settlement inspections and managing client walkthroughs
* Maintaining a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and site presentation
* Ensuring the timely completion of units to meet staged handover deadlines
About You
Candidates must have proven experience delivering multi-level (mid to high-rise) residential towers on Class 1 projects.
You will also have:
* Trade qualification in Carpentry
* QBCC Site Supervisor's Licence
* 3+ years' experience as a Finishes Foreman with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 principal contractor or developer-builder in Australia
* Strong working knowledge of systems such as Excel, Procore, and MS Project
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality outcomes
