Support Those Who Served. Keep Their Matters Moving.

At AVAC Services, we support Australian veterans through the Department of Veterans' Affairs claims process, ensuring they receive fair, ethical, and well-supported outcomes.

We are seeking a Veteran Case Progress Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring every veteran's matter continues to progress efficiently, professionally, and without delay.

This is a structured, process-driven role focused on case coordination, workflow management, and maintaining momentum across all client files.

Our Mission

We are committed to overcoming barriers to veteran wellbeing by providing structured, professional, and ethical support throughout the claims process.

About the Role

You will sit at the centre of our operations, ensuring that no file is left without a clear next step.

Working closely with Case Managers, the Medical Evidence Team, and support staff, you will review files, identify what is outstanding, and coordinate actions across the team to keep matters moving.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct regular file reviews to assess current status and identify next steps
* Maintain clear and accurate case notes within our CRM system
* Assign and coordinate tasks across the team to ensure progression
* Monitor outstanding actions and follow up to prevent delays
* Assist with client correspondence and updates where appropriate
* Manage documentation and ensure files are organised and audit-ready
* Escalate urgent or high-risk matters when required
* Ensure every file has a clear next action and responsible owner

About You

* Experience in a legal secretary, case coordination, or administrative role
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
* Confident working within systems and following processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Professional, reliable, and solutions-focused

Experience working with veterans or within the DVA space is highly regarded, but not essential.

Why Join AVAC Services

* 4-day work week (Tuesday–Friday) – consistent long weekends
* Be part of a purpose-driven organisation supporting Australian veterans
* Play a direct role in improving outcomes for those who have served
* Structured role with clear expectations and responsibilities
* Opportunity to grow within a developing legal and advocacy environment

How to Apply

Please email with:

* Your resume
* A brief statement outlining what you would bring to the role and how you would support veterans

Applications that do not have a personalised cover letter or resume will not be considered.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 36 per week

Application Question(s):

* Are you comfortable working in a role focused on process, coordination, and file progression (rather than decision-making)?
* Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment?
* Do you feel confident remaining calm and professional when a client is emotional or dissatisfied?
