Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve beverages – mix and pour a variety of cocktails, beers, wines and non‑alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently. Ensure proper presentation and quality with every order .
* Provide table service – take food and beverage orders, deliver meals and drinks promptly, and check on guests throughout their visit. Offer menu recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
* Ensure a clean, organised bar – restock supplies, set up the bar before service, and maintain sanitation standards .
* Handle transactions – accurately process cash and card payments, balance tills and follow proper cash‑handling procedures .
* Uphold responsible service of alcohol (RSA) – comply with all safety and liquor laws and check IDs as required .
* Support the team – assist with opening/closing duties, liaise with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, and help train new team members when needed .
Requirements
* Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or ability to obtain one) .
* Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Victoria (18+) and have the right to work in Australia.
* 1–2 years’ experience in a bar or restaurant environment, including mixing drinks and providing table service .
* Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer styles and wine varieties, with a willingness to learn new recipes .
* Excellent customer‑service and communication skills ; friendly, approachable and confident dealing with diverse patrons.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy service environment .
* Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays; shifts may vary from 10 am to late night .
