We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Melbourne or Sydney team of the Franklin Templeton business.
Working closely with the Head of Product & Strategy, this role will assist in setting and executing the product strategy for Franklin Templeton, through the development, management and evolution of Franklin Templeton investment products in the Australian market. This includes managing the full lifecycle for Franklin Templeton products across the retail, wholesale and institutional channels.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Franklin Templeton’s product offering is in line with customer needs, market trends, and the goals of the global and local businesses.
1. Work closely with the Head of Product & Strategy to develop the product strategy and execution roadmap for Franklin Templeton Australia
2. Lead product strategy initiatives to design and develop new Franklin Templeton investment products for the Australian market
3. Project manage the implementation of key product development and product management initiatives
4. Work closely with client facing distribution teams to ensure the success of Franklin Templeton investment products in the Australian retail, wholesale and institutional channels
5. Use a variety of reporting tools, market analysis and competitor information to help inform product design, implementation and strategy
6. Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within Australia and the global Franklin Templeton business to effectively support the product strategy
7. Assist in managing all ongoing regulatory requirements to ensure Franklin Templeton investment products to remain compliant
8. Assist in managing the preparation and maintenance of relevant Product policies, frameworks and governance structures
9. Provide Product SME input within Frankin Templeton locally and globally to support business growth
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
10. Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification
11. 5 years+ experience in related product management or product development roles
12. Experience in managing implementation of product development and product management projects
13. Ability to interpret multiple sources of internal and external feedback, market data and information to inform new product design
14. Experience working with relevant Product, Compliance and other governance committees
15. Detailed and current knowledge of investment products, financial markets, operations and legislative requirements
16. Experience in an investment management, superannuation or platform business
17. Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
18. Strong organisational skills
