Position Overview
We are seeking a junior solicitor with at least 1 year post‐admission experience to join the practice on a part‐time basis (3 days per week), with a pathway to full‐time employment.
The role is hands‐on and court‐focused. The successful candidate will have regular exposure to Local Court matters and will be involved in all stages of file conduct, including client conferences, drafting affidavits and submissions, court appearances, and ongoing file management across criminal, family, immigration, and civil matters.
You will work closely with the Principal Solicitor and be expected to take responsibility for matters appropriate to your level of experience.
Responsibilities
* Assist with Local Court matters
* Attend client conferences and prepare documents
* Draft affidavits, submissions and other court documents
* Represent and appear in court
* Manage files independently with supervision
Qualifications
* At least 1 year post‐admission experience
* Current NSW practising certificate
* Experience or genuine interest in criminal and/or family law
* Confidence appearing in court
* Strong written and communication skills
* Organised and able to manage files independently with supervision
