This brand-new role supports the growth of our vibrant municipality as an Open Space Maintenance Officer, maintaining and enhancing public spaces including Officer District Park and Level Crossing Removal Projects to remain safe, beautiful, and welcoming.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining and presenting parks, gardens, and open spaces to a high standard.
* Performing horticultural tasks such as mowing, pruning, and planting.
* Responding to customer requests with professionalism and care.
* Operating and maintaining equipment safely and efficiently.
* Supporting landscape improvement projects across the Shire.
What You Will Bring
* Certificate III or higher in Horticulture or Landscaping.
* Hands-on experience in gardening, mowing, and grounds maintenance.
* Ability to interpret and work from landscape and horticultural plans.
* Strong understanding of safe work practices and OH&S requirements.
* MR Driver's Licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Basic computer skills and comfort using mobile technology.
* Relevant certifications such as Chemical Users Accreditation, Traffic Management, and White Card.
