* Salary: $226,322 - $243,001 TRP
* Location: Darwin (hybrid/FIFO)
* Working model: Onsite 1 week in 4 (Mon-Fri)
* Flexibility: Occasional longer stays (up to ~2 weeks) during major borrowing activity
The Northern Territory Treasury Corporation (NTTC) is a government business division and is the central financing authority for the Northern Territory Government. NTTC plays a vital role in managing the Territory's borrowing, lending, and investment activities to fund critical infrastructure and essential services that benefit all Territorians. It provides trusted financial advice and services to government agencies, ensuring sound fiscal management and long-term economic sustainability.
As Director, Debt Capital Markets, you will oversee the Territory's annual borrowing program and manage NTTC's capital market activities. You will lead a small, high-performing team responsible for delivering efficient funding solutions, maintaining liquidity, and managing financial risks associated with the Territory's debt portfolio.
Working closely with senior Treasury officials, you will provide expert, forward-looking advice to the Treasurer, Under Treasurer and NTTC Advisory Board on market developments, funding options and risk management strategies. This role offers the opportunity to influence policy direction and directly shape how the Territory funds its future priorities.
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded professional with deep expertise in financial markets, treasury operations and risk management. You will bring proven experience managing debt portfolios or capital markets transactions within government, a financial institution, or corporate treasury.
With strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data, you will provide clear advice and direction in a dynamic environment. Confident communication and influencing skills will enable you to engage effectively with ministers, executives, investors and credit rating agencies.
