McDermott Aviation is Australia’s largest privately owned Heli-Aviation company, operating from bases across Australia, Europe, and the USA, and home to the world’s largest fleet of the most powerful single-engine, twin-bladed helicopter – the Bell 214B. We provide Aerial Fire Fighting, Biosecurity, Agricultural, and Helicopter Lifting services and support.
The Role
Based at our Cooroy facility, you will support our operations in delivering a range of aerial applications through the safe and efficient transfer, mixing, and loading of chemical solutions. You will also play a key role in maintaining the base, aircraft, and associated equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
Provide safe and reliable ground support to our aircraft, including delivery, loading, and transfer of substances for specific applications. Mix and load various substances, both liquid and solid, into aircraft to support specific activities. Perform routine and preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure operational readiness. Conduct day-to-day maintenance, including shed, yard, and equipment upkeep. Monitor and maintain inventory of chemicals, fuels, and equipment. Operate machinery and perform tasks in compliance with WHS regulations and company safety procedures. Assist with ad hoc technical or mechanical tasks as required to support operations.
About You
A valid driver’s licence; an unrestricted HR & DG licence is preferred. Flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs. Motivated to perform in a disciplined, safety-focused aviation environment. Industrious, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing operation. Previous experience in aircraft or machinery maintenance is highly desirable but not essential. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
