About the role:

We are seeking a Learning and Development professional with both a compliance and a development focus to help build our internal capability. Every day our busy and dedicated team members provide vital services and support to a geographically and culturally diverse region. This position is key to them maintaining and improving that service and to achieve personal and career development goals.

This role sits within our People and Culture team and will suit someone with exceptional organisational ability and a genuine interest in individual progression. You will plan and coordinate learning activities, work closely with managers and team leaders to assess training needs, schedule sessions, and maintain accurate training records. There will also be the opportunity to support recruitment, onboarding, and performance appraisal processes, further contributing to the growth and capability of Council's workforce.


About you:

* Experience in HR or administrative roles, with strong coordination skills.
* A genuine passion for training, development, and supporting people to succeed.
* Comfortable working with staff from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds.
* Ability to maintain accurate records, track training needs, and work to deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Certificate III in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar will be well regarded.
