About the role
The PMO Analyst coordinates and supports project management processes, controls, and reporting—covering areas like project support, financial management, data tracking, quality, and consistency—to help balance project workloads.
The role sits within Cbus’s Enterprise Delivery team, which delivers enterprise-level projects and programs that support the fund’s strategic objectives and member outcomes.
This is a 12 month maximum term contract based in Melbourne.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain and support project processes, templates, and tools
* Support the PMO Lead with effective project governance and controls
* Ensure high data quality and availability of project information
* Deliver consistent, accurate, and timely project reporting
* Establish, maintain, and report on:
o Project financials (in collaboration with the Project Accountant)
o Risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID)
o Deliverables, completion, and sign-off
o Project metrics and performance tracking
o Benefits tracking and reporting
* Coordinate project meetings, including agendas, materials, minutes, attendance, and action tracking
* Identify, track, and address risks, issues, dependencies, changes, delivery slippage, and cost overruns
* Manage the project knowledge base, onboarding, and handover processes
* Provide administrative and operational support to the project team
* Track and report project progress, including Executive Committee and Board reporting
* Maintain and control project financials in line with standards and timelines
* Analyse, reconcile, and report monthly financials, including accruals and forecasts
* Coordinate RAID and assurance activities with PMO, Portfolio, Program, and Project stakeholders
* Maintain risk and issue reporting to support escalation, oversight, and governance
* Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and internal policy requirements
What we’re looking for
* Significant business and project experience, ideally in financial services or superannuation
* Strong experience working with project and operational teams to support governance
* Knowledge of project management frameworks, methodologies, tools, and templates
* Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
* Proven experience managing program financials and coordination activities
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
