About Your New Company

A well-established commercial construction contractor servicing projects across Australia. They specialise in design and construction, fit out, and refurbishment projects across the greater Sydney region. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across commercial and technical projects.

The Opportunity

As a Contracts Administrator you will play a critical role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of large, complex industrial and commercial projects ranging from $1M - $10M. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement, contracts administration, and financial management, ensuring projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and to the highest standards.

What You Will Do

* Lead the preparation, negotiation, and administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts for large scale new build projects
* Oversee procurement activities including trade package preparation, tender reviews, and contract awards
* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with financial targets
* Manage and review progress claims, variations, and payment schedules in line with contractual obligations
* Provide commercial and contractual advice to project managers
* Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, building codes, and workplace health and safety legislation
* Mentor and support junior contracts administrators to build capability

What We Are Looking For

* Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts administration or commercial management within construction, ideally on large scale new build projects
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline
* Advanced knowledge of contracts, procurement processes, and commercial management principles
* Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in forecasting, cost control, and reporting
* Training will be provided on in house software
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring or guiding junior staff
