Mid Coast Tile Co. is seeking a reliable, energetic and customer-focused Store & Trade Sales Assistant to support our busy showroom, warehouse and trade counter.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced trade and retail environment, dealing with tradies, builders and home renovators, and being part of a small, supportive team.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include a mix of showroom, trade and warehouse duties such as:
• Providing friendly and professional customer service to homeowners and trade customers
• Assisting customers with the selection of tiles, bathroom products and flooring
• Processing sales, invoices and payments (POS and systems training provided)
• Handling phone enquiries, bookings and general administration
• Picking and preparing orders for customers
• Stock handling, unpacking deliveries and general warehouse duties
• Supporting trade customers with product knowledge and advice
• Maintaining a clean, organised showroom and up-to-date displays
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the business, helping customers, supporting the team and keeping the store running smoothly.
We are specifically looking for someone who has:
• Trade and/or construction industry experience (essential)
• A basic understanding of tools, materials or building products
• Confidence dealing with tradespeople and contractors
• The ability to quickly learn tile, adhesive and grout products
• A forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
