This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful impact through senior clinical practice and leadership. You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high quality, recovery focused and person centred care, while playing a key role in shaping service delivery, supporting colleagues and improving outcomes for consumers and their families.

As a senior clinician, you will:

* Deliver advanced, evidence based occupational therapy interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs
* Provide senior clinical leadership and apply expert judgement in complex, high risk and non routine clinical scenarios
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, carers and external partners to ensure coordinated and seamless care
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical guideline development and service evaluation activities
* Support and mentor occupational therapy staff, promoting clinical excellence, professional growth and best practice

You are an experienced and confident Mental Health Occupational Therapist who thrives in complex clinical environments and values collaboration, leadership and continuous improvement. You bring strong professional judgement, a people centred approach and a commitment to supporting both consumers and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will bring:

* Demonstrated experience working within mental health services, including with older people, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong clinical expertise and confidence in managing complex occupational therapy interventions, case management and service coordination
* A commitment to clinical leadership through the supervision, training and professional development of occupational therapists, allied health assistants and students
* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build effective networks across SWSLHD and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives
* A flexible and professional approach, with willingness to participate in a 7 day roster including weekend and out of hours services, while maintaining high standards of documentation, safety and quality care

Selection Criteria

* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Can you describe a situation where you applied advanced occupational therapy skills in a mental health setting, including how you ensured your approach aligned with evidence-based, age-appropriate practice?

How have you contributed to service improvement in your workplace, and what role have you played in supervising or mentoring staff or students during the implementation of those changes?
