Job Description:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work within the Physiotherapy team to deliver high quality therapy to patients in our Oncology and Haematology acute ward.
Your role will involve providing individually tailored exercise programs, facilitating mobility to minimize functional decline, and assisting with early rehabilitation to progress patients to an optimal discharge destination. You will also provide education about the benefits of exercise in cancer and facilitate engagement in outpatient services.
In addition to your clinical duties, you will assist with non-clinical tasks to support the provision of Physiotherapy services.
You will work as part of a dynamic team contributing to the care of patients, and have opportunities for ongoing training and professional development in a supportive work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have suitable qualifications and experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly with patients around exercise.
