The newly established Digital Canberra Directorate (DCBR) responsible for overseeing all digital and IT functions across the ACT Public Service, is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic and forward-thinking Executive Branch Manager to lead the newly formed Ministerial and Government Services Branch (MaGS).
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Services Division the Executive Branch Manager, Ministerial and Government Services (EBM MAGS) will lead a range of functions on behalf of DCBR to deliver commitments to Ministers, government and the public. The EBM MAGS will provide strong leadership and promote a high-performance culture within the branch, delivering a range of functions including ministerial services, freedom of information, delegations and reporting.
The EBM MAGS will provide strategic and operational advice and support to the Director-General, and executive on government business and lead the implementation of strategies and systems to assist in the delivery of directorate objectives and comply with legislative and statutory obligations.
This position works closely with other corporate areas at both the directorate and whole of government level and has significant contact with each Ministerial Office, executives from other agencies, and division and branch heads across DCBR. This position requires a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality, as well as a flexible approach in responding to tight deadlines.
Applicants should have an in-depth understanding of and demonstrated experience applying ACT Public Service and government business processes including but not limited to Budget Estimates, Annual Report Hearings, Cabinet and Legislation Program and Subordinate Legislation. Combined with exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop to cultivate high trust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Remuneration:
The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from
$255,497 - $263,368
depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of
$224,886.
Contract:
The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
