We are currently seeking a capable and passionate Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to oversee our Aged Care services at a well-established NDISHealth Service located in Loxton, South Australia. About the Role
As the NUM, you will be responsible for leading the clinical and operational functions of the Aged Care unit. You'll play a critical role in maintaining high-quality, person-centred care, supporting your team, and upholding best practices in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Aged Care unit
* Lead a dedicated team with confidence and compassion
* Ensure clinical governance and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
* Provide mentorship, support, and professional development for staff
* Collaborate with residents, families, and the broader multidisciplinary team
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic planning
About You
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* Demonstrated leadership experience in aged care or NDIS health settings
* Ability to work autonomously with minimal support and make confident decisions
* Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, clinical best practice, and accreditation processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Minimum 3 years experience working in an Aged Care Facility
* Postgraduate qualifications in management or aged care (desirable)
