Job Description
* Prepare and manage financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Oversee month‐end and year‐end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Conduct financial analysis to support business decision‐making and identify cost‐saving opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to support the organisation's financial planning.
* Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
* Provide support to the Accounting & Finance department in other ad‐hoc tasks as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Accountant Should Have
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Professional accreditation such as CA or CPA (or working towards).
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
* Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and analysis within the engineering industry.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
