Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Advisor
* Drive safety culture by supporting and advising the organization, taking immediate action and communicating safety concerns related to Alfa Laval machinery; prepare safety notices for customers if needed.
* Support the Service Center and Field Service teams as the overall Technical Advisor.
* Assist with complex quotes and projects in the Service Centre or Field Service.
* Share best practices to enhance performance and competitiveness among service centers and field teams.
* Act as the point of contact for central teams (BU): technical, products, applications—facilitating communication and providing feedback for product development.
* Handle claims and troubleshooting for complex customer issues.
* Support complex commissioning and optimize customer processes.
* Visit customers as required to support their equipment.
Competence Development
* Lead the technical competence development plan for the Service Operations team, including ALSOC.
* Train team members on specific technical skills (ALSOC, Applications, Commissioning, etc.), coordinating with central experts as needed.
* Assess Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Service Center Technicians (SCT) on onsite tasks, providing guidance and additional training.
* Support the development of senior FSEs to become Assessors.
Service Operations
* As a member of the Service Operations Management Team for Oceania, contribute to defining future priorities for training, investments, performance, and customer requirements.
* Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for service operations.
