Our client is looking for a newly graduate occupational therapist to work on a community-based team.
Our client is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) health provider, providing a range of community-based, allied health services to people of all ages and abilities across Australia.
Services are delivered through multiple delivery models (including telehealth, community visits, and office-based services), and referrals may come through the NDIS, Medicare or privately.

Job Role
Using evidence-based and best practices to assess and provide interventions for children and adults living with a range of abilities to maximise function, capacity, and social engagement.
Work with a varied caseload.
This may include working with different ages (across the lifespan) and presentations, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Psychosocial Disability and Physical Disabilities or clients with a range of communication needs and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Assisting clients with assistive technology assessment, recommendations, and applications (in relevant fields).
Working within different funding schemes and models.
Predominantly within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), but can include Enhanced Primary Care (EPC), private etc.
Working in different settings.
The role is predominately mobile, travelling to designated locations to provide intervention in community settings, but can also include office and telehealth settings and times when one may decide to work from home.
Meeting company professional expectations: invoicing accuracy, billable hours (average of 5 per day), case list management, communication, and documentation.
Attending meetings, supervision and PD as required, with punctuality and active participation.
Building relationships with key stakeholders associated with the business, including therapists, clients, and referral sources.
Understanding of the NDIS, expectations of being a provider and complying with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
Understanding and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications

First Aid (desirable, EP required)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module

Registration with the relevant professional body
Working with Children Check (as per relevant state)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (or valid exemption)
Police Check and International Police Check (only applicable to individuals who have lived overseas)
Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
