About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Second-in-Command (2IC) to the Head Cook to support our kitchen operations. This is a multitasking role primarily focused on the construction and preparation of cold larder items (e.g., salads and desserts), along with the efficient packing of meals in coordination with volunteer kitchen assistants.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cold larder items such as salads and desserts.
* Efficiently pack meals according to the kitchen schedule.
* Direct and support volunteer assistants in their daily duties.
* Unpack and store food orders (dry goods, refrigerated, and frozen items).
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all storage areas (dry, cold, and freezer).
* Manage food waste and rubbish disposal on a weekly basis.
* Assist with vegetable preparation.
* Coordinate and manage kitchen laundry as needed.
* Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitised daily after service.
* Engage with volunteers to foster a positive and productive working environment.
