Key Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive people strategy, encompassing employee relations, workforce planning, and talent management across Western Australia and South Australia.
This position will entail a matrix reporting structure, with dual lines of reportage to the National Head of Human Resources and the WA CEO. This will ensure seamless alignment between operational and national HR functions.
* Strategic leadership in Enterprise Agreement negotiations, fostering robust relationships with unions.
* Providing expert guidance on complex employment relations/industrial relations matters, representing the organisation at Fair Work Commission, supported by the National IR Manager.
* Driving workforce planning initiatives and supporting leaders through change management processes.
* Collaboration with national HR teams and Centres of Excellence to standardise HR best practices.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and Strategy
o Develop and implement comprehensive people strategies that align with business objectives.
* Employee Relations and Industrial Relations
o Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives.
o Represent the organisation in employment relations/industrial relations matters at Fair Work Commission.
* Talent Management and Workforce Planning
o Drive workforce planning initiatives to meet business needs.
o Support leaders through organisational change.
Requirements
* Education and Qualifications
o Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
* Skills and Experience
o Significant experience in human resources, preferably in a strategic leadership capacity.
o Proven track record in enterprise agreement negotiations, employee relations, and industrial relations.
* Personal Qualities
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
o Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
