Position Purpose
To lead and manage renewable energy projects while overseeing the Asset Manager and interns, ensuring operational efficiency, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and successful delivery within timelines and budgets.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced delivery lead to join our team in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on delivering Commercial and Industrial (C&I) renewable energy projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and microgrids. This role demands a disciplined and strategic thinker with a proven track record in project delivery, contract negotiation, and stakeholder management within the renewable energy landscape, along with the ability to manage and mentor team members effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Delivery
o Lead the planning and execution of C&I renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with timelines for development applications (DA) and connection approvals.
o Oversee the execution of tasks within established quality and budget parameters consistently.
2. Line Management Responsibilities
o Provide line management for the Asset Manager role, guiding performance, development, and team dynamics.
o Supervise and mentor interns, overseeing their work and ensuring valuable learning experiences within the organization.
3. Stakeholder Management
o Manage relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success and adherence to contractual obligations.
o Act as the point of contact for project inquiries, effectively communicating updates and project status.
4. Documentation and Compliance
o Develop and peer review comprehensive management manuals and plans covering Construction, Environmental, HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), and Quality Management.
o Ensure compliance with ISO standards relevant to Quality Management, HSEQ, and Environmental best practices.
5. Contractor Onboarding
o Facilitate the onboarding process for new contractors and partners, ensuring financial, insurance, and HSE requirements are met.
6. Efficiency and Continuous Improvement
o Contribute to overarching efficiency improvements and ongoing development within project processes.
o Identify and implement solutions to enhance project timelines and outcomes.
7. Project Management
o Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating expert problem-solving skills to address project challenges as they arise.
o Maintain focus on quality, budget, and timeline constraints throughout project lifecycles.
8. Technical Knowledge
o Leverage knowledge of relevant products and understand the principles of structural and electrical engineering as they relate to renewable energy projects.
9. Travel Requirements
o Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as project demands require, with travel being infrequent.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully delivering C&I renewable energy projects, particularly in rooftop and ground-mounted PV and BESS & microgrid systems.
* Certificate IV in HSEQ or equivalent qualification.
Experience
* Demonstrated expertise in contract and stakeholder management.
* Formal project management certification is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong understanding of project planning and execution timelines, particularly relating to DA and connection approvals.
* Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.
* Autonomous, accountable, and driven, maximizing productivity in a remote work environment.
* Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a keen focus on quality and budget adherence.
