About the Role
As a Lead, you will be responsible for a functional team that contributes to the delivery of community programs.
This may include Place Based (First Nations) programs, migration, homelessness and other community needs.
The goal is to support clients to maintain social connectedness, independence, improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
You will work as part of an integrated team to ensure your functional areas deliver a high-quality service.
This includes being compliant with standards and legislation, and achieving operational and financial key performance indicators.
About the Team
The Homelessness Services provide planned and solution focused support to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
We work collaboratively with specialist and mainstream services in the Townsville area to make a significant and meaningful impact on ending homelessness together.
Services include:
* Initial assessment and response to immediate needs
* Accommodation assistance and advocacy
* Community outreach and support
* Risk and safety planning
* Advocacy and assistance to access housing and specialist services
* Support to access mainstream services
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate ability to research, assimilate and analyse complex information to optimise business approaches and models
* Understand key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals
* Plan and implement immediate and long term operational and strategic goals
* Lead teams in continuous improvement approach to program implementation and ways of working
* Show interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills catering for diversity within the team
* Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in providing programs to clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures
* Hold a current Working with Children's Check
