Health & Allied Services - IN17 Cook Grade 3, $******** per hour (excluding allowances)

Responsibilities
Opportunities exist for qualified trade cooks to join our food production team within our kitchen on a casual basis.
Under the guidance of the Head Chef, this position is responsible for the preparation of meals for patients and residents, in accordance with standard recipes and production schedules.
Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to read, understand and follow standard recipes, production lists and schedules, diet guidelines and safety instructions, and have a strong history of being able to work as an effective team member.
The successful applicant will be required to work 8-hour shifts starting as early as 6.00 am and finishing as late as 5.30 pm.
Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends.
Casual positions do not include regular hours.
Qualifications
Safe Food Handlers Certificate – HLTTFS7A or equivalent.
Extensive previous experience in a high-volume kitchen.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience with the cook chill food production system.
Experience and proficiency in computer usage.
Important Note
Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
