About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Physiotherapists to join our Acute and Rehabilitation wards on a permanent full-time basis.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in Central Queensland for more than a century. Our heritage listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Misericordiae Hospital north of Brisbane on 14 November in the same year.
Salary range: $ $58.59 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits
What you'll be doing
Typical tasks of the role include:
* Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols
* Apply increasing clinical judgement to complex cases under clinical practice supervision
* Actively participate in professional and multidiscisplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies
* Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers
* Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams
* Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes
* Opportunity to participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise
About you
You will be a AHPRA registered Physiotherapist as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council. You will also meet the below criteria:
* Broad experience working in an acute hospital setting and across rehabilitation services- desired. Note: New graduates are also welcome to apply.
* Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number
* A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required
* Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience
* Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care
* Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
