Vertex Minerals Limited is a gold mining company with a focus on redeveloping the Reward Gold Mine at Hill End NSW. The Project is located approximately 200km west of Sydney in the central west of NSW between the major regional centers of Bathurst and Mudgee. The Reward Gold Mine has a resource of 419,000 tonnes at 16.7 grams/tonne.
Without the requirement for cyanide or chemicals or a tailings dam, and with a smaller environmental footprint than any existing gold operation in Australia.

The underground mining operation is fully mechanised including an Epiroc T1D single boom jumbo, Atlas Copco H104, Aramine 350D loaders with RCT tele remotesand BIRD 10 tonne articulated trucks along with the normal infrastructure for ventilation, communications, water management and services.
The Processing Plant utilises a 3-stage crushing circuit, screening, ore sorting, ball milling and a gravity concentration circuit including a Falcon Concentrator.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent on a 7 days on/7 days off dayshift roster, Underground Fitters will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of both the surface and underground operations. In the underground operation the tasks will include breakdown maintenance and servicing of drill rigs, mobile and fixed plant and undertaking planned maintenance. In the Plant the tasks will include general repairs and servicing.
We are seeking to appoint experienced, skilled and enthusiastic tradesmen who have the ability to work independently and would enjoy the opportunity to work in a small operation where every employee contributes to the success of the business. The appointees will ideally have a background in underground operations and keen to be provided with training to develop capabilities and skills.
The appointees must have:

* Ability to plan and organise their own work
