Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and culturally aware individual to join our team as a Program Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote educational opportunities for Pasifika communities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with community leaders and stakeholders. You will work closely with our Regional Engagement Coordinators to ensure outreach strategies are inclusive and effective.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver workshops and programs focused on Pasifika school and community engagement.
* Design and tailor workshop content to ensure activities are culturally appropriate and effective.
* Provide culturally responsive advice and information on university pathways and opportunities to Pasifika students and communities.
* Build and nurture partnerships with Pasifika community groups, leaders, and schools to promote aspirations for further education.
Requirements
* Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Demonstrated experience working with Pasifika communities, including an understanding of cultural protocols and values.
* Cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in engaging with diverse communities.
