About The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Life Support (ALS) Fitter Training Instructor to join our Aerospace business on the Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project in Wagga, New South Wales. Wagga offers affordable housing, a vibrant lifestyle, and a thriving community, just a few hours from Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne. We provide an additional week of annual leave, totaling five weeks per year. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates relocating closer to Wagga.
The ATT project delivers aviation trade and technical manager training to the Australian Defence Force. As part of our inclusive and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to teach and shape the next generation of Aviation Technical Maintainers. This position is permanent and full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate, deliver, and develop training in Initial and Post Initial Employment Training.
Focus on Aircraft Life Support (ALS) and Core Aeroskills in your teaching areas.
Supervise in a simulated working environment.
Maintain and service ALS equipment.
Provide specialized skills and advice to support Aviation Technical Training.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, government, and industry partners.
Guide and mentor Defence trainees in aviation best practices.
About You
Industry experience as an Aircraft Life Support Fitter or qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer, preferably with Defence Aviation Safety Environment experience.
Current Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing or Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or technical training instructor experience is highly regarded.
Willingness to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment if not already held.
