Job Opportunity
A seasoned Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional is required to join our team in Geelong. This exciting role presents a genuine opportunity for career advancement and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage risk registers, update Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and control effectiveness.
* Plan and conduct inspections, internal audits, and issue reports to drive action close-outs (aligned with ISO 45001).
* Coordinate incident management, including notifications, Incident Cause Analysis Methodology (ICAM) participation, corrective/preventive actions, and verification of effectiveness.
* Oversee inductions, toolbox talks, and competency tracking with supervisors.
* Maintain legal/compliance registers, consultation records, and the compliance calendar.
* Improve contractor management, isolation/LOTO, hot work, and confined space permits, as well as chemical management.
* Partner with Human Resources/Operations on return-to-work/injury management and wellbeing documentation.
* Track leading/lagging HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and produce a clear monthly governance report/dashboard.
* Support continuous improvement through trend analysis, Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) tracking, and simple standards that stick.
Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in HSE/WHS (Officer/Coordinator) with strong follow-through.
* Cert IV WHS (ICAM and/or internal auditor training highly regarded).
* Practical communication skills to influence without authority and close actions on time.
* Disciplined administrative and systems capability (Microsoft 365; incident/audit tools; basic Business Intelligence/reporting).
* Unrestricted Australian work rights, valid driver's license, and ability to travel to sites as required.
