About Us
The role of a Health & Safety Business Partner is to provide expert guidance and support to our operational teams in managing health and safety within the organisation.
This includes partnering with frontline leaders and workers to establish high standards of safety in their everyday work, and providing facilitation and expertise on change management, hazard studies, incident investigations, risk assessments, safe operating envelopes, and other aspects of process risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
* To coach and influence frontline leaders and workers to establish high standards of safety in their everyday work.
* To provide expert guidance and facilitation to operating sites and other functions relating to change management, hazard studies, incident investigations, risk assessments, safe operating envelopes, and other aspects of process risk management.
* To collaborate with key HSE teams and stakeholders to effectively partner to deliver key changes or requirements.
* To conduct hazard and risk analysis, and assure effective safe systems of work for high-risk activities.
* To embed a strong safety culture across site operations through HSE behaviours and a learning culture.
* To maintain and lead safety awareness and compliance activities in the region through proactive assurance activities.
What You'll Need:
* A strong influencing ability with a broad range of stakeholders.
* The ability to communicate across various levels within the organisation and with external vendors, customers, and government representatives.
* Proven experience as a safety professional relating to production/process facilities through all stages of the plant lifecycle to reduce operation risk.
* An understanding and experience in transport, waste/resource recovery.
* Knowledge and experience in the hazardous process industry, chemical/petrochemical plants or major hazard facilities is highly desirable.
* An understanding and experience with Process Safety Management and interactions with Conventional Safety Systems.
* A hold an appropriate work health and safety qualification.
